Senior Vice President, Hyperscale Data Center Delivery

The role

Our client is a highly capitalized developer building a portfolio of hyperscale AI and digital infrastructure campuses across North America. The platform is early: the delivery organization, its standards and its teams are still being put in place, and you would join in time to shape them.

You will work alongside an accomplished industry executive and take a leading role in some of the largest and most complex data center developments in the market. You will have direct access to the people making the decisions and real ownership across a major North American portfolio. Title matters less here than what you have built.

You have already delivered at scale and know what great looks like. You are a construction leader first who thinks like an owner: you can walk a site, challenge a major general contractor, sit across from a hyperscale customer and hold your own in an executive discussion about capital, risk and delivery strategy. You work well beside other strong leaders, need no layers of bureaucracy, and get your hands dirty when a project calls for it.

What you will own

• Multiple hyperscale developments from preconstruction through commissioning and Ready for Service.
• Executive accountability for capital programs, schedules, safety, quality, contractor performance and customer commitments.
• The Project Directors and senior construction teams across multi-campus developments.
• General contractor strategy, forecasts, commercial exposure and recovery plans: knowing when to push, when to step in and how to get a project back on track.
• The delivery organization itself: recruiting strong leaders and putting in the systems, standards and operating discipline the growth plan needs.
• Portfolio strategy, major project decisions and future development priorities, worked through with senior leadership.
• The owner's seat with hyperscale customers, contractors and strategic partners.

What we require

• 12 to 15+ years of direct data center experience, with a significant record in hyperscale construction and delivery.
• Leadership of major hyperscale campuses.
• Experience running multiple developments, substantial capital programs, large construction workforces and sophisticated contractor organizations.
• Senior Director, VP, SVP or equivalent leadership, with a clear record of increasing responsibility.
• Deep command of construction execution, project financials, scheduling, commissioning and customer delivery commitments.
• The commercial judgment and technical credibility to challenge major contractors and make hard calls.
• A reputation for building teams, developing leaders and delivering what you commit to.
• Direct hyperscale data center delivery experience. This one is non-negotiable.

• Campuses of 200 MW and above, and above all exposure to 500 MW to 1 GW+ developments.
• Time on more than one side of the industry: general contractor, then developer or operator, then hyperscaler.
• A campus with thousands of people on site, a regional delivery operation you built, or programs measured in hundreds of megawatts and billions of dollars.
• Leading through teams and shaping strategy beyond a single project, while staying close enough to construction to know what delivery takes.
